In the Ambassador Lounge having the Gold Experience to watch the Varna Ballet.π©° It is definitely worth it to have that experience in the lounge if you're seeing shows there.
A self care positive: I really loved my Contrast Therapy at the North West Wellbeing Hub! It was half an hour in the gorgeous infrared sauna where I watch some Geordie Shoreπ , one of my guilty pleasures and then I had a quick shower and then ten minutes in the cold plunge pool which was heaven. I always feel so refreshed after a cold water dip, as I warm back up, I feel so energised! You get a hot drink after too so I went for a nootropics mushroom almond milk coffee which kept me going through work.ππ«
Favourite Snack of the Week: It would have to be the gorgeous snacks I had in the Liverpool Empire Ambassador Lounge! The Savoursmith salt and vinegar crisps were naughty and the Jude mint choc chip ice cream was unreal too!
Favourite Session: My snowy 10k! I only saw two other people on the whole run, it was so peaceful and eerie.
Reflection: Be proud of your hard work. Even if you can't always see the results of your hard work straight away, have faith that every effort is money in the bank towards your goals! My spinal recovery is living proof of that ethos!π
Just keep putting one foot in front of the other!
Running Lesson: Running in the snow (Tuesday's easy paced run was entirely through inches of snow and ice in a park and running through ice streams) really takes it out of your legs! To the point that on my Thursday speed session, I felt like within the start of the first rep, I felt like my legs were full of lead and I was running on empty. Just getting to the end was a test of my metal.π
Something I enjoyed this week: Getting my Teeny Tyne-y turtle in the post!π A positive sign for my week three I think...π. I really loved going to watch the Varna Ballet perform the Nutcracker! I have never seen that before so to hear the iconic songs and see the dances was just sublime!π I think ballerinas are so strong and fragile at the same time! I have always loved to dance ballet and watch it!
Something I didn't enjoy this week: A man trying to go for my coat and pick pocket me in the city centre on my walk to see the ballet. I like to think that I am fit and strong but I was also a lone, single, disabled female. It wasn't nice at all and I don't ever want to be in confrontational situations like that. With my brain being further down (Chiari Malformation) and my spinal fusion operation, that is the last thing I would want.
Something to think about: Try not to waste your energy on things or people that drain you, your confidence or your happiness. Who and what you surround yourself with can affect your health. Take it seriously.
